Dr. bernd Haase
Dr. Haase is the Managing Director and Founder of Global Bioscience, a position he has held since June 2011. Dr. Haase has played a key role in the creation of the Company’s strategic vision, including the strategic direction of Global Bioscience to a life science and technology consulting company.
Dr. Haase began his life science career in 1995, and had worked since then for technology leading companies in Europe and US. Prior to starting the company Global Bioscience, Mr. Haase held positions in Swedish, American and German companies as Application Manager at Biacore, Business Development Manager Europe at Affymetrix Inc, Senior Director Business Development at Gene Logic Inc., Director Strategic Alliances and OEM at QIAGEN GmbH and Chief Executive Officer at 5 PRIME GmbH and Inc. In these positions Dr. Haase had driven sales to Biotech and Pharma customers in Europe and Asia, worked as an Out-licensing Manager for patents, conducted technology assessments, and developed new sales channels. During his last appointment at 5 PRIME, Dr. Haase has build up the company from start, had launched with his team 200 products in one year, and had build up a strong direct sales channels in Germany and the US as well as sales via distributors in 36 other countries in Europe, Asia, Middle East and the Americas.
Dr. Haase earned his Master in Biochemistry from the University of Hannover, Germany and his MBA from Krannert Business School, Purdue University, USA.
